Amplifying Youth Voices

826CHI is the Chicago chapter of 826 National, a nonprofit organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of young authors through its youth writing and publishing centers. Students in the After School Writing Lab and Teen Writers Studio programs have their works published in books that are sold at the center’s accompanying book store. I had the honor of designing Insert Title Here, It Went to the Moon, and Archives of My Memory, recent publications for both programs. These layouts include student illustrations and multilingual translations.

I designed, illustrated, and handlettered for We Are Worth More Than the Universe.

I also redesigned 826CHI's informational handout. Given minimal brand guidelines and art direction, the look and feel was inspired by what already existed in the organization's website and logo.
